Door Open Button Not Working

I have a button hooked to the coin door open point. Checked with my meter to D13 on the board and it's making contact. Doesn't seem to do anything in windows or VPX.

Download the keyboard test utility from here https://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Sy ... lity.shtml and run it, press the coin door switch and verify the button command and make sure that the setting in vpx matches the keypress.

The coindoor controls are Home and End so you won't see anything in windows without using something to interpret the keypresses unfortunately. Most others can be verified by using notepad (other than ctrl & shift of course).

I installed the utility and it won't show a key press. Tried every other pin on that header and it logged their key strokes.

Which one do you have, the Standard (plunger/nudge/buttons) or the Deluxe ( Standard + USB hub and outputs)

Unfortunately I lost all firmware source files prior to R2.2 in a system crash here so I can't verify whether it was properly coded or not.

I do have R2.8 uploaded to the site so you could try updating the firmware. If that doesn't solve it I'll have to get it back to do a hardware repair on it.

the Firmware thread is here .... viewtopic.php?f=43&t=9

Had some time to get this done, updating to 2.8 appears to have corrected the problem. Thanks Zeb.
