Pause Button in VPX

Hello,

I'm trying to figure out how to use a button to pause VPX. I see there is a GAMEPAD 1&2 contact on the plunger. I tried mapping the escape button to this using joy2key and it wortks outside of VPX. But when I load VPX it doesn't work. Is there any suggestions on what to do?

In VPX specifically I would think that you would need to make sure that the Disable ESC Key box is not ticked in the preferences screen.

There are a few threads on getting pause to work, it usually is controlled by the frontend ..... https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=43064
