Plunger damaged

Post by Mozzie » Thu Oct 01, 2020 8:06 am

Hi

I have a V3 plunger and was wondering why it wasn’t registering. As per attached pic the metal slide mechanism has come out.

How was it sealed inside? Can you advise the best way to repair it?
cheers

This happens when the slide block and clip is installed backwards on the plunger.

By installing it backwards it reduces the physical distance available for the plunger to travel when released allowing that tab to strike the far end of the slot. The tab comes to a stop while the plunger rod continues to move forward which ultimately causes the tab to break off as in your picture.

The only way to fix that is to replace the potentiometer on the board.
